Georgian PM: Our citizens gave mandates to 9 parties to enter parliament to take care of country's future. If they do not help us, do not hinder us
“Attendance and participation in Georgia’s parliamentary elections were one of the highest compared to the elections held abroad amid pandemic,” said the Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Gakharia in an interview with TV Imedi.
Georgian PM noted that today “the government’s main task is citizens’ health as well as the preservation of the economy, and all this must be done in a way that does not restrict anyone’s freedom of expression.”
“For the first time in the history of Georgia, our citizens gave mandates to nine parties to enter the parliament and through the parliamentary platform, through strengthening the democratic institutions, to take care of the country’s future, to pull the country out of the crisis and not by rallies, by putting the country at risk and spreading the virus.
I believe we will withstand this challenge and if they do not help us, do not hinder us, this is our main goal, ” stated Gakharia.
