Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia met with the World Bank Regional Director for the South Caucasus, Sebastian Molineus.
According to the governmental administration, cooperation between Georgia and the World Bank, vaccination plan, the country’s European integration perspective, and structural reforms were the main topics of the meeting.
Sebastian Molineus confirmed the WB’s readiness to support Georgia to prepare for 2024 when the country plans to make an official application for the EU membership. He also said that the WB would continue to support Georgia in the regional, infrastructure, and strategic project implementation.
Georgian PM underlined the WB’s role in battling with the COVID-19 pandemic, support to pension reform, the development of public-private partnership system, and other crucial projects.
Georgia needs to use its strategic location and retain the successful positioning in the post-Covid world, Gakharia underlined.
