Georgian PM meets Public Defender

Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with Levan Ioselaini, Public Defender of Georgia.

According to the government’s press office, the meeting covered the situation with the protection of human rights, and relevant pressing issues.

“The Ombudsman briefed the Head of Government on the key directions and challenges of his work.

Irakli Kobakhidze emphasized the importance of the work carried out by the Ombudsman institution, also underlining that the authorities are paying considerable attention to the Ombudsman’s recommendations that serve the purpose of further upgrading the standard of human rights protection,” reads the statement.
