Georgian PM: Int'l observation missions' chiefs confirm election legitimacy

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated on Sunday, “International observation missions have expressed no doubts about the election legitimacy during their press conference.”

The PM went on to say that as the observers highlighted, the election was “competitive, in line with international standards and their assessment accurately reflects the current picture.”

“The observers specifically referred to an ‘elected government’ in their evaluation, which clearly indicates their recognition of the election’s legitimacy. This is very important.

I want to express my gratitude to all missions for their work in monitoring these elections. We have maintained open throughout this process, extending invitations to observation missions since February. The elections were held,” Kobakhidze added.
