Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, along with Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze and Georgian Football Federation President Levan Kobiashvili, met with FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
According to the government’s press office, the meeting focused on the government’s steps to promote football.
“The parties discussed future plans, including the planned construction of a new stadium of international standards, which will accommodate 70,000 spectators.
Also, the meeting covered Georgia’s application to host the U20 World Championship.
As part of the visit to Georgia, Gianni Infantino visited the facilities that are being built with FIFA funding,” reads the statement.
