Georgian PM expresses condolences to Azerbaijani President over plane crash

Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze sent a letter of condolences to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev over the Baku-Grozny plane crash near Aktau, Mangistau region on Wednesday.

As the Prime Minister pointed out in a letter, the Georgian government and the Georgian people stand next to the Azerbaijani people.

“On behalf of the Government of Georgia and the Georgian people, we extend our condolences. At the time of this grief, we stand by the people of the brotherly Azerbaijani people and offer condolences to the family members of the deceased,” the letter reads.

According to the latest data, only 32 of the 67 passengers survived with severe injuries.
