Georgian Parliamentary delegation discusses direct flights in Switzerland

Georgian Parliamentary delegation discussed cooperation issues with Switzerland, Speaker Shalva Papuashvili said on Monday.

The meeting in Switzerland also covered the regional challenges.

“The Geneva format is the only one in which Georgia has the opportunity to talk to Russia, including on deoccupation. Therefore, Switzerland takes its responsibility on this matter very seriously. I thanked them for their years-long support, especially for Switzerland’s role in enhancing security,” Papuashvili noted.

Papuashvili also said that the parties discussed the possibility of scheduling direct flights.

“There is a political decision on this matter and negotiations are underway, which, of course, will make it more intensive and accessible for the citizens of both nations to visit the countries,” the Speaker added.
