Georgian para powerlifter Akaki Jincharadze wins bronze at Paris 2024 Olympics

On the last day of the Paris 2024 Olympics, Georgian para powerlifter Akaki Jincharadze (+107kg) won a bronze medal.

The Georgian national team has earned nine medals at the 2024 Olympics, which is a historic result for the Georgian parasport.

Below is the results as follows:

  • Giga Ochkhikidze (shot put) –  gold
  • Vladimir Chincharauli (rifle shooting), Zurab Zurabiani (para judo), Giorgi Kaldani (para judo) and Revaz Chikoidze (para judo) – silver
  • Ana Japaridze (para taekwondo), Nino Tibilashvili (wheelchair fencing), Ina Kaldani (para judo), Akaki Jincharadze (para powerlifting) – bronze

The Georgian Paralympic team, which included 14 para-athletes, competed in six different sports at the 2024 Olympics.
