Georgian Orthodox Church to celebrate Transfiguration of Savior
Georgian Orthodox Church celebrates the Transfiguration of the Savior on August 19. The Transfiguration is among the twelve greatest religious holidays.
It is related to one of the famous episodes of the life of Lord Jesus Christ when the Savior showed his divine nature to his three apostles: Peter, Jacob and Johan, transfigured and becomes radiant in glory upon a mountain.
