Georgian gov't reduces quarantine period to 8 days

The Government of Georgia has reduced quarantine period from 12 to 8 days, Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia has announced a short while ago.

After a 8-day quarantine, the person will have to undergo PCR testing. In case of negative results, he/she will be allowed to leave the quarantine space. However, the citizen is obliged to undergo repeat PCR test on 12th day, noted Georgian PM.

Georgia has reported 34 new cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) today, bringing the total number of infected people to 1 684, according to stopcov.ge.

Five patients have recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, increasing the total to 1 315.
