Georgia gained the status of Exemplary Country in Elimination of Viral Hepatitis
The Delegation of the IDPs, Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia is attending the congress organized by the European Association for the Study of the Liver and the Liver International Foundation in Vienna, Austria, as honoured guest.
According to the Ministry of Health, today’s session of the Congress was dedicated to Georgia’s achievements in the direction of HCV elimination. At the session, Georgia was awarded the status of the first Exemplary Country in the Elimination of Viral Hepatitis.
Massimo Colombo, the Chairman of European Association for the Study of the Liver handed over the honorary award to Davit Sergeenko, the Minister of IDPs, Labor, Health and Social Affairs.
