Georgian FM: We continue to be ready for open, honest discussion with strategic partner
Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili on Wednesday deemed the withdrawal of an invitation of Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze to a reception hosted by US President Joe Biden on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly 79th session in New York “regretting.”
Darchishvili pledged the government “will continue to be ready to have an open, honest discussion with the strategic partner.”
The FM believes “there is no alternative to dialogue and mutual exchange of ideas. Dialogue is the only approach for strategic partners to discuss deepening and growing relationships.”
Darchiashvili expressed “regret” that some Georgian media outlets continue to spread misinformation, “which is extremely destructive to Georgia’s foreign policy.”
