Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili met with Dubravka Šuica, the Vice-President of the European Commission and the European Commissioner for Demography and Democracy, during his visit to Strasbourg.
The discussion centred around the implementation of EC’s 12 recommendations. Minister Darchiashvili provided an update on the steps taken by Georgia and the achieved results. He expressed optimism about a potential historic decision by European partners, granting Georgia candidate status.
Reforms and the strengthening of democratic institutions were key topics during the meeting. Minister Darchiashvili reaffirmed Georgia’s commitment to enhancing future cooperation.
The FM will meet with other European Commissioners on October 3-4.
