Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili met with his Belgian colleague Aja Labib, discussing the importance of NATO’s 75th-anniversary summit and the agenda topics.
According to the Georgian MFA’s press office, the duo talked about the main aspects of NATO-Georgia cooperation and Georgia’s integration into the alliance.
“It was noted that Georgia is an important and reliable partner of the Alliance in the region, and its participation in the Washington Summit confirms this yet again.
Georgia’s contribution to strengthening the Euro-Atlantic security was also emphasized. Special attention was paid to Georgia’s EU integration process and the granting of candidate status to Georgia in 2023.
Ilia Darchiashvili spoke about the current processes and challenges of Georgia’s EU integration process, reaffirming Georgia’s willingness for future collaboration,” reads the statement.
