Georgia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maka Botchorishvili, held a meeting with Austrian Ambassador to Georgia Robert Gershner, discussing “significant aspects of bilateral cooperation, emphasizing the traditionally friendly and partnership relations between the two countries. Both parties underscored the importance of enhancing political dialogue between the two countries.”
According to the Ministry’s press office, the meeting also highlighted the necessity of deepening economic and sectoral cooperation between Georgia and Austria.
“The parties also touched upon Georgia’s relations with the European Union, noting the significance of Austria’s support on the path of European integration. The Minister expressed gratitude to the Austrian side for their unwavering support for Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
Both parties expressed their readiness to work together on issues related to the current agenda and to further deepen bilateral cooperation,” reads the statement.
