The Georgian delegation, led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, participated in the inauguration ceremony of the new President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, held in Mexico City.
According to the Ministry, high-ranking representatives from 105 countries and 22 international organizations were present at the event, including heads of state from 16 nations and foreign ministers from 20 countries.
During an introductory meeting, the Georgian Foreign Minister extended congratulations on behalf of the Government of Georgia and the Georgian people to President Sheinbaum for her electoral victory, wishing her success in her forthcoming endeavours.
The discussions emphasized the friendly and partnership-oriented relations between Georgia and Mexico, with aspirations for further strengthening these bonds during President Sheinbaum’s term in office.
In response, President Sheinbaum expressed her gratitude to the Georgian delegation for their presence at the ceremony, highlighting that this visit represents a promising step towards enhancing future cooperation between the two nations.
