Georgian festival program for Europalia unveiled

The Georgian festival program for Europalia Arts Festival was unveiled today in Brussels, as Georgia is participating as a Guest Country in a major biennial event for the first time, the Culture Ministry announced on Wednesday.

Brussels and various European countries will house the events between October 2023 and February 2024, showcasing Georgia’s cultural legacy.

Festival guests will have the opportunity to get to know the nation’s cultural diversity through both traditional and modern art.

Europalia will entail two large-scale exhibitions titled “Georgia – a Place of Meetings” and “Modernism in Georgia – Fantastic Vanguard”, with 250 works by 25 Georgian artists.

The Europalia, a biennial multidisciplinary event, highlights the artistic and cultural facets of select nations.
