Georgian delegation members meet Hungarian parliament's European Affairs Committee Chair

Being on an official visit to Hungary, the Georgian parliamentary delegation met Judit Varga, Chair of the European Affairs Committee in the Hungarian Parliament.

The Chair of the European Affairs Committee reconfirmed that Hungarian officials, both legislative and executive, unconditionally support Georgia’s granting EU candidate status.

Chairman of the ruling Georgian Dream (GD) party, Irakli Kobakhidze, thanked Judit Varga for her support and expressed a hope that the firm stance of Hungary and other European countries would be reflected in the European Council’s decision on December 14-15.

Led by the GD Chair Irakli Kobakhidze, the Georgian delegation comprises Vice Speaker Giorgi Volski, European Integration Committee Chair Maka Botchorishvili, and MP Irakli Mezurnishvili.
