The permanent delegation of the Georgian Parliament participated in the spring session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in Sofia, Bulgaria.
According to the Georgian Parliament, the members of the Parliament’s permanent delegation, including Khatia Tsilosani, Givi Mikanadze, Giorgi Chakvetadze, Teona Akubardia, and Tinatin Bokuchava, attended the session.
During the session, the assembly committees’ reports were discussed, highlighting Georgia’s progress towards NATO integration and the reforms implemented. It was emphasized that Georgia is on track to become a member of the Alliance, following the decision made at the Bucharest Summit.
The delegation also met with the President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly and members of the Assembly’s Bureau, providing detailed information on the procedures for adopting the Law on Transparency of Foreign Influence.
The session concluded with the adoption of a declaration reaffirming the alliance’s open-door policy and its support for Georgia.
