Georgian Defense Minister meets Romanian colleague

Georgian Defense Minister Irakli Chikovani met with his Romanian colleague Angel Tilvar in Romania.

According to the Ministry’s press office, the parties focused on the cooperation defined by the joint declaration of strategic partnership between Georgia and Romania.

“The conversation touched on the security environment in the Black Sea region. Attention was focused on bilateral defense cooperation between Georgia and Romania, as well as Romania’s involvement in the implementation of the Substantial NATO-Georgia Package (SNGP).

Irakli Chikovani emphasized the importance of the support of the partner countries in strengthening Georgia’s defense capability and Euro-Atlantic integration.” reads the statement.
