Georgian Defense Minister meets NATO Military Committee Chair

Georgian Defense Minister Juansher Burchuladze met Chair of the NATO Military Committee, Admiral Rob Bauer, within the framework of the NATO Defense Ministerial in Brussels.

Juansher Burchuladze thanked Rob Bauer for support of Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty and the country’s NATO integration aspiration.

The Minister remarked that NATO’s open-door policy is of utmost importance amid Russia’s increased military aggression in the region. He added Georgia continues strengthening its defence capabilities and cooperability with the alliance’s defence forces with NATO support.

The parties also spoke about Georgia’s participation in strategic discussions and the international peacekeeping missions.
