Georgian Defense Minister Juansher Burchuladze, who pays a visit to Armenia, met Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
The Defense Minister and the PM discussed the regional and global security environment and challenges.
Juansher Burchuladze stressed Georgia’s readiness to make efforts to ensure the peaceful development of the region within a peaceful neighbourhood initiative.
Georgian Defense Minister underscored the significance of the European Commission’s positive decision to recommend the European Council to grant candidate status to Georgia and said that the government continues active work to fulfil the remaining obligations and procedures.
The sides underlined Georgia-Armenia cooperation dynamics and prospects in the defence sphere.
Within the framework of the visit, Georgian Defense Minister Juansher Burchuladze and his Armenian counterpart Suren Papikyan signed an agreement on bilateral cooperation.
