Georgian Defense Minister attends Schuman Forum for Security and Defence in Brussels
Georgian Defense Minister Irakli Chikovani attended the second edition of the Schuman Forum for Security and Defence in Brussels.
The Ministry’s press office said the forum covered common security challenges and ways of responding to them.
The forum was held at the initiative of Josep Borrell, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy / Vice-President of the European Commission, which was also attended by politicians, decision-makers, high-ranking military officials of EU member states and more than 60 partner countries, as well as representatives of international organizations, leading think tanks and academia.
The forum seeks to discuss the issues of international cooperation to effectively deal with the existing threats and challenges, strengthen world peace, and promote the protection of the order based on international rules, reads the Ministry’s statement.
