Georgian Defence Forces take part in Eternity 2023 military drills

The Georgian Defence Forces personnel participated in trilateral Eternity 2023 military drills in Baku, Azerbaijan.

According to Georgia’s Defense Ministry, the scenario of the drills involved providing security for the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan regional pipeline running across three states and other strategically vital economic projects.

Eternity military drills aim to improve interoperability between military units from Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey and are held annually in a country selected on a rotation principle.

Georgia hosted trilateral Eternity drills in 2021 drills, involving the country’s defence forces alongside their counterparts from Azerbaijan and Turkey, in manoeuvres designed to hone capabilities for protecting strategic energy infrastructure in the South Caucasus.
