The Georgian Consulate in Italy calls on travelers for having all the documents as required by the visa liberalization regime when making a trip to the country.

The Consulate posted on its Facebook page that due to tight border control conditions set by the Italian government, various facts of non-admission of Georgian citizens on the territory of Italy have been fixed lately due to the lack of the documentation as requested while undergoing the border control procedures.

“The Georgian Consulate, likewise consulate services of other foreign countries, has no legal mechanisms to interfere into the competence of border guards and revise their decision,” reads the statement.
