The Georgian basketball team is preparing for the selection tournament for the Olympics that will kick off on July 2 in Riga, Latvia.
Georgia will face Italy on June 23, Cameroon on June 26 and Egypt on June 28.
The chief coach Aleksandar Džikić reduced the team membership from 18 to 15 players and sent Giorgi Turdzeladze, Gegi Bakradze and Nikoloz Gaprindashvili to Tbilisi. Tornike Shengelia and Joe Thomson joined the team in Treviso.
The match Italy vs. Georgia will kick off at 20:50 Tbilisi time and the GPB’s First Channel will live-broadcast it.
Georgia will play against Latvia on July 2, and Philippines – on July 4.
