Georgian Ambassador to Japan: No Georgian citizens injured in earthquake
Georgian Ambassador to Japan, Teimuraz Lezhava, said that no Georgian citizens were injured in the powerful earthquakes that hit Japan for the last two days.
According to the Ambassador, Japanese authorities are experienced in crisis management.
“The Japanese government and various state agencies are well-experienced in handling the crisis. That’s why they somehow managed to protect the infrastructure even though the earthquake was powerful and was followed by a tsunami,” he said.
The Ambassador further notified that Georgian citizens could contact the Embassy at the hotline +81 80 7933 5060 in emergency and urgent necessity.
Powerful earthquakes in Japan left at least 64 dead. A powerful 7.6-magnitude earthquake struck central Japan on Monday.
