Georgian Ambassador presents Letters of Credence to Colombian President

Georgia’s newly appointed ambassador to Colombia, Zurab Mchedlishvili, presented his Letters of Credence to President Gustavo Petro, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.

According to the Ministry, during the meeting held after the ceremony, the two sides reviewed existing bilateral ties and discussed future cooperation opportunities aimed at strengthening relations between the two countries.

“Ambassador Mchedlishvili expressed readiness to actively promote political dialogue, facilitate high-level visits, and deepen cooperation in the fields of economy and culture. He also thanked the Colombian government for its firm support of Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” reads the statement.
