Georgia, Ukraine join COST

Georgia and Ukraine became full-fledged members of the European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST).

Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili supported Georgia’s joining the COST Association following Georgian Education Minister Mikheil Chkhenkeli’s meeting and discussing the issue with COST Association Director, Ronald de Bruin in December of 2021.

Mikheil Chkhenkeli said that the membership of the organization will contribute to the integration of both countries in the European researches and innovations landscape.

COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) is a funding organization for research and innovation networks. Its actions help connect research initiatives across Europe and beyond and enable researchers and innovators to grow their ideas in any science and technology field by sharing them with their peers.
