Georgia-Spain driving license exchange agreement comes into effect

The agreement between the governments of Georgia and Spain regarding the mutual recognition and exchange of national driving licenses has officially come into effect.

Under this agreement, holders of valid driving licenses issued by either country can now obtain equivalent permits in their country of legal residence without the need for additional theoretical or practical exams.

Similar agreements have already been established with Ireland and Greece. The deal with Greece will take effect once the necessary internal procedures are completed, while Georgian driving license holders in Ireland can immediately exchange their permits.
