Georgia reported 7 521 coronavirus cases, 3 160 recoveries, and 31 deaths on Tuesday, the official figures show.
Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 4 171 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Adjara region with 801 cases, and the Imereti region with 792 cases.
A total of 56 367 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 38 892 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 17 475 were PCR tests.
The daily test-positivity rate stands at 13, 34 %, while 10 % in the past 14 days.
Georgia’s total case tally reached 1 006 864, among them 934 667 people recovered and 14 512 died.
There are 50 people quarantined, 4 465 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 2 050 asymptomatic and mild symptom patients are placed at the government-assigned facilities.
As of January 18, 2 622 459 people got the Covid-19 vaccine, with 9 290 in a day.
