Georgia reported 6 847 coronavirus cases, 9 003 recoveries, and 36 deaths on Tuesday, the official figures show.
Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 2 759 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 1 226 cases, and the Kakheti region with 542 cases.
A total of 32 226 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 25 213 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 12 013 were PCR tests.
The daily test-positivity rate stands at 18, 39%, while 25, 18% in the past 14 days.
Georgia’s total case tally reached 1 612 319, among them 1 513 164 people recovered and 16 199 died.
There are 0 people quarantined, 4 479 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized.
As of March 1, 2 820 546 people got the Covid-19 vaccine, with 3 410 in a day.
