Georgia reported 5 381 coronavirus cases, 1 065 recoveries, and 30 deaths on Saturday, the official figures show.
Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 3 144 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Adjara region with 557 cases, and the Imereti region with 539 cases.
A total of 63 516 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 33 800 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 29 716 were PCR tests.
The daily test-positivity rate stands at 8, 47 %, while 9, 24 % in the past 14 days.
Georgia’s total case tally reached 990 183, among them 925 137 people recovered and 14 425 died.
There are 53 people quarantined, 4 369 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 2 077 asymptomatic and mild symptom patients are placed at the government-assigned facilities.
As of January 15, 2 603 603 people got the Covid-19 vaccine, with 5 631 in a day.
