Georgia reported 2 979 coronavirus cases, 3 470 recoveries, and 53 deaths on Friday, the official figures show.
Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 1 325 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 493 cases, and the Shida Kartli region with 207 cases.
A total of 47 937 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 29 881 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 18 056 were PCR tests.
The daily test-positivity rate stands at 6, 21 %, while 7, 26 % in the past 14 days.
Georgia’s total case tally reached 904 181 among them 852 560 people recovered and 12 971 died.
There are 40 people quarantined, 5 798 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 1 107 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are placed at the government-assigned facilities.
As of December 17, 2 361 557 people got the Covid-19 vaccine, with 10 505 in a day.
