Georgia reported 18 274 coronavirus cases, 8 400 recoveries, and 41 deaths on Saturday, the official figures show.
Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 9 297 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 2 277 cases, and the Adjara region with 1 833 cases.
A total of 84 762 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 48 320 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 34 442 were PCR tests.
The daily test-positivity rate stands at 21, 56%, while 18, 99 % in the past 14 days.
Georgia’s total case tally reached 1 145 508, among them 995 328 people recovered and 14 911 died.
There are 35 people quarantined, 5 084 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 2 091 asymptomatic and mild symptom patients are placed at the government-assigned facilities.
As of January 29, 2 704 957 people got the Covid-19 vaccine, with 8 310 in a day.
