Georgia reported 12 101 coronavirus cases, 14 764 recoveries, and 45 deaths on Tuesday, the official figures show.
Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 5 269 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 1 935 cases, and the Shida Kartli region with 918 cases.
A total of 47 486 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 33 164 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 14 322 were PCR tests.
The daily test-positivity rate stands at 25, 48%, while 30, 65% in the past 14 days.
Georgia’s total case tally reached 1 565 769, among them 1 422 540 people recovered and 15 933 died.
There are 7 people quarantined, 5 358 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 860 asymptomatic and mild symptom patients are placed at the government-assigned facilities.
As of February 22, 2 800 752 people got the Covid-19 vaccine, with 3 006 in a day.
