Georgia reported 1 716 coronavirus cases, 1 551 recoveries, and 16 deaths on Tuesday, the official figures show.
Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 672 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 253 cases, and the Kakheti region with 156 cases.
A total of 19 857 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 17 226 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 2 631 were PCR tests.
The daily test-positivity rate stands at 8, 64%, while 13, 98% in the past 14 days.
Georgia’s total case tally reached 1 637 691, among them 1 590 380 people recovered and 16 585 died.
As of March 15, 2 834 936 people got the Covid-19 vaccine, with 1 613 in a day.
