Georgia reported 1 543 coronavirus cases, 3 198 recoveries, and 20 deaths on Friday, the official figures show.
Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 718 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 228 cases, and the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region with 112 cases.
A total of 13 873 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 10 859 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 3 014 were PCR tests.
The daily test-positivity rate stands at 11, 12%, while 16, 83% in the past 14 days.
Georgia’s total case tally reached 1 633 443, among them 1 581 376 people recovered and 16 505 died.
As of March 11, 2 830 741 people got the Covid-19 vaccine, with 1 279 in a day.
