Georgian Orthodox Church marks Apostle Andrew the First-Called Day on May 12.
Andrew the First-Called was the first of the Apostles to follow Christ, and he later brought his own brother, the holy Apostle Peter, to Christ.
Also, in 2019, the Georgian parliament approved May 12 to be the Day of Georgia’s Allotted to the Virgin Mary, based on the December 2018 decision of the Holy Synod.
