Georgia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan form joint venture - Middle Corridor Multimodal

Georgia, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan have just formed a joint venture, Middle Corridor Multimodal as part of the Tbilisi Silk Road Forum, Georgian Railways announced today.

The initiative intends to enhance Georgia’s transit corridor, primarily to encourage shipments between China, Europe, and Turkey.

“The Middle Corridor Multimodal seeks to provide fast and dependable service along the entire route. We would like to remind you that joint work between the railways of Georgia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and the Caspian Sea ports has been ongoing since 2013,” says the statement.
