Georgia and Armenia citizens can cross countries' borders with ID cards
Georgia and Armenia are facilitating the movement of their citizens in both directions, and citizens can pay visits with their ID cards. Armenian News Agency News.am reports.
According to news agency, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan stated about it while providing details of his visit to Georgia during a question-and-answer session with government officials in parliament today.
As he said, the Governments of Armenia and Georgia signed a Memorandum of Intent to facilitate the movement of the two countries’ citizens.
“Georgia and Armenia signed a memorandum according to which citizens will have the opportunity to cross the Georgian and Armenian borders with their ID cards. We agreed that now we will implement the agreement,” – Nikol Pashinyan said.
As the Armenian media reports, it is not yet known when this decision will come into force.
