Georgia consistently ready to contribute to regional peace, FM says
Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili expects that the Georgian Prime Minister and Azerbaijani President today will discuss how Georgia can contribute more to regional peace and security.
Asked about the Prague meeting on 6 October claiming that South Caucasus nations should preserve peace and stability in the region, FM Darchiashvili stressed that “for Georgia, peace and stability in the region are of special importance.”
“Georgia has consistently stated its desire to make a substantial contribution to the region’s security and peace,” he went on.
Earlier today, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Georgia. PM Garibashvili and President Aliyev will hold joint press point at 2 pm.
