General Giorgi Surmava – Military servicemen are facing humiliating reality

“Military servicemen are facing humiliating reality. We will not admit that the Georgian army is used for political purposes,” General Giorgi Surmava said during the briefing held at Veterans’ Affairs State Service.

Surmava called on his colleagues not to allow confrontation in the Georgian armed forces and admit politicization of Georgian soldiers.

“The Georgian army has always served interests of the homeland and people. Armed forces stand on the guard of the country rather than in service of any political force,” Surmava stated.
