GD's Mdinaradze: Let them present even basic evidence of 300 votes being falsified and than talk about new elections

“While they insist that 300,000 votes were falsified, let them present even basic evidence of 300 votes being falsified – why don’t they go and tell this to the prosecutor’s office, why are they concealing it?,” – Mamuka Mdinaradze, the executive secretary of the Georgian Dream, told journalists on Wednesday.

According to Mdinaradze, “anyone who claims that the elections were rigged should present some evidence to the prosecutor’s office.”

“People are taking to the streets, demanding new elections. They have their own opinion, convinced by ‘Natsis’ (referring to UNM) or other circumstances; but first present evidence of 300 votes being rigged and then demand new elections,” Mdinaradze noted.

The Prosecutor General’s Office of Georgia has recently released interim findings from its investigation into possible election fraud.

According to the office, nearly 800 investigative and procedural actions have been conducted thus far, including various investigative experiments carried out with the involvement of foreign experts.

The Prosecutor’s Office reported that during court interrogations, many witnesses could not provide any concrete evidence to support the claims of fraud. Instead, their testimonies relied on unverified information from third parties. Some witnesses indicated that their statements regarding specific instances of election fraud were intended as preventive measures.
