The ruling Georgian Dream party will finish working on documents to impeach the country’s president by Wednesday, the chair of the GD faction, Mamuka Mdzinaradze, announced on Monday.
“The paperwork will be finished by Wednesday and presented to the Committee on Procedural Issues, which will verify the legitimacy of the signatures.
The documents will subsequently be submitted to the Constitutional Court of Georgia,” he told media outlets following today’s party meeting.
Last week, the ruling party said President Salome Zourabichvili violated the constitution by traveling to European Union countries without the government’s permission.
