GD to continue consultations on eight candidates for Public Defender

Georgian Dream Faction Chairman Mamuka Mdinaradze says that the party will continue consultations with the opposition on eight candidates for Public Defender.

These candidates are Ana Bashidze, Giorgi Burjanadze, Lela Gafrindashvili, Tinatin Erkvania, Nugzar Kokhreidze, Giorgi Mariamidze, Ketevan Chachava, and Iago Khvichia, according to Mdinaradze.

“To continue consultations on these candidates does not mean that their majority is acceptable to the parliamentary majority,” he added.

He stated that three of the 19 candidates withdrew their candidacy, one did not appear on the committee, and seven were deemed irrelevant.
