GD member says Sircxvilia read Transparency Law, got ashamed, discovered nothing to limit their activities

“Apparently, “Sircxvilia” (Shame) Movement got ashamed, read the law and discovered that there is nothing that would limit their activities, duties, even harmful ones,” said Beka Odisharadia, a member of the ruling Georgian Dream (GD) party.

According to Odisharia, other non-governmental organizations would be forced to follow “Sircxvilia’s” move.

“Naturally, this is a scandalous admission on the part of the so-called NGO, ‘Sircxvilia,’ which is a politically motivated organization. It was in the vanguard of those forces, which had been shaking the country alleging it was a Russian Law and was harmful.

Apparently, ‘Sircxvilia’ got ashamed, read the law and acknowledged that there is nothing that would limit their activities, and duties, even harmful ones. They were forced to register and other organizations will do the same. Georgian people will learn where they are financed from, which are the foreign sources of their finances and in which direction this money flows are spent,” he said.

From a video released on social networks by “Sircxvilia” Movement on August 30, it became known that the organization will register at the National Agency of Public Registry (NAPR) as required by the Law on Transparency of Foreign Influence.
