GD member says part of opposition united around Saakashvili's lifestyle
“Lies are Saakashvili’s way of life. Habits trample on the law,” said Irakli Kadagishvili, the ruling Georgian Dream (GD) party member.
According to the GD member, jailed ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili attempts to unite one part of the population around his lies.
“Saakashvili lied when he said that he was poisoned and tortured. He lied when he asserted that he was deprived of the right to medical treatment and was on a hunger strike. At every step when he is allowed to communicate with the outer world, he tells lies.
Regrettably, one part of the opposition is united around his lies and they attempt to deceive one part of the population,” he said.
Commenting on the Georgian visit of US Senator Jeanne Shaheen and Congressman Mike Turner, Mikheil Saakashvili wrote on Facebook: “I am glad that Senator Jeanne Shaheen often talks about me and that Congressman Mike Turner has recently sent a letter to the Department of State to demand my release. I am grateful that, according to my information, they raised the issue of my unlawful and unfair imprisonment at different meetings.”
