Mamuka Mdinaradze, the executive secretary of the ruling Georgian Dream party, accused the opposition National Movement of organizing provocations through internal chats. Speaking at a press briefing, Mdinaradze claimed that photos, locations, and detailed instructions for provocations were being shared within the opposition group’s communications.
“I warn everyone, especially the National Movement, to stop these actions,” Mdinaradze stated. “Your internal chat is leaking every minute. Stop giving assignments – you’re already exposed. Don’t panic. There is no doubt about the legitimacy of the processes in this country, and no one can undermine Georgia’s positive history with such fake attempts.”
Mdinaradze accused a group of at least 30 individuals of targeting election precincts to incite unrest, claiming they were physically assaulting voters and activists. He expressed concerns about the conduct of certain media outlets, suggesting they were acting under specific instructions to undermine the legitimacy of the upcoming elections.
“The presence of TV Pirveli in certain locations correlates with these provocations,” Mdinaradze stated. He described the situation as a “staged special operation,” alleging that the opposition was preparing to question the legitimacy of the elections based on these disturbances.
The executive secretary shared details from internal communications within the National Movement, indicating a coordinated effort to incite violence against their opponents. He warned the opposition to cease these tactics, asserting that their actions would not diminish the legitimacy of the electoral process.
