“Today we are engaged not only in pre-election campaign but in the fight for the protection of peace, sovereignty, our traditions and values. And the main battle in this fight is the October 26 parliamentary elections,” said Founder and Honorary Chair of the ruling Georgian Dream (GD) party, Bidzina Ivanishvili addressing the populace at the pre-election regional meeting in Telavi, Kakheti.

Bidzina Ivanishvili remarked that this is the fight for the Georgian people’s dream come true, which is Georgia’s unification to be achieved only through peaceful means.

“This is the fight for our main dream to come true – to see our motherland reunited. However, restoration of Georgia’s territorial integrity is possible only through peaceful means, reconciliation and mutual forgiveness.

The attitude of foreign agents and the collective National Movement toward this issue demonstrates their actual goal – to keep Georgia in a constant regime of conflicts and confrontation.

That is why the country’s preparation for the territorial integrity restoration, first of all, stands on obtaining the constitutional majority. In case of winning a majority on October 26, the Georgian Dream team is ready, at the right moment, to transform the country into a model of constitutional arrangement, which will allow us to fulfil our long-standing dream – to see a united and strong Georgia again!,” Ivanishvili stated.
